BODY HAIR TRANSPLANT
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure when hair follicles are moved from a part of the body called the ‘donor site’ to a bald or balding part of the body known as the ‘recipient site’. It is primarily used to treat male pattern baldness. Biggest advantage of FUE method is that now we can use body hair (beard, chest and pubic) as donor hair. Body hair transplant surgery or “BHT” is a FUE procedure where the grafts (follicular units) are individually removed by an ultra-fine tool from different parts of the patient’s body. For example, from the beard, chest, back, pubic area. If grafts taken from chest and beard are of good quality, they can give very satisfying result. Beard grafts are usually thick so give better visual impact, chest hair are used to give filling effect in between. So by using combination of scalp, beard and chest we can transplant all the bald area even in grade VII.
